Yoy

Bloodspitter of the Darkspear Tribe?, and manager of the Voodoo Lounge in Valley of Spirits, Orgrimmar.

Description

A troll girl still in her teen years, Yoy is usually keeping herself neat and clean. She speaks with a thick Booty Bay accent, and tries to meet everyone with a cheerfull attitude, horde and alliance alike.

Background

Yoy was born in the Stranglethorn Vale? about 16 or 17 years ago. What happened to her original family or tribe she herself don't know. At the age of 5 she was found wandering the jungle by an orcish wildlife hunter. He took her in and brought her to Booty Bay?, where she went into the care of the then owner of the inn, The Salty Sailor.

She was a stubborn and strongwilled child, treated more like a servant than an adoptive daughter, so at the age of 9 her provider sent her with the crew of a ship called the Murky Maid. For her own safety she went under the name of Yayo. It wasn't that they lied about her gender, but she usually wore boyish clothes, and noone really asked about it.

The captain of the Murky Maid was an old orcish warveteran by the name of Blackheart. The ships official business was to transport goods and supplies between different horde as well as neutral outposts. But when the opportunity arose, they were not unknown to pray on alliance trade ships.

On board the Murky Maid was an old troll by the name of Thorza. He acted as the ships medic, and took Yoy under his wing. He taught her what he knew about medical anatomy, including a meditative healing art he himself called "the Flow".

Yoy stayed with the Murky Maid for a few years, until she came into puberty. It started to become hard keeping up the appearance of being a boy, and out of fear of being hurt she went back to Booty Bay? and went into the service of Skindle. The goblin now running The Salty Sailor. She worked there from the age of 12, tending the tables, cleaning pots and cooking, until one day she met a troll named Shakazooloo Baboora and got to audition for the job as a dancer of an establishment known as "Shakin' Booty". She saw the job as an opportunity to earn more than a simple barwench, but as it turned out it became her ticket into the Darkspear Tribe?.

Yoy worked hard to become an intergrated part of the tribe, eager to please her new "family", and showed her healing abilities wherever they were needed. During a rescue operation she was thus noticed by the tribes Witch Doctor, Bamboozle, who decided to take Yoy into apprenticeship and teach her the Witch Doctor ways. She has also caught the eye of the tribe Spirit Master, Felicc Ramtusk, and is through this connection now learning more about the source of the Flow.

Busy with her new training schedule, and welcomed as a fullfledged tribe wu'mon, Yoy moved from her home in Booty Bay? to settle down in Sen'jin Village. She also left the Shakin' Booty to instead start up something new, closer to home, the Voodoo Lounge.
